White Memorial Camp, Kansas Custom Search   White Memorial Camp and Conference Center is located just north of Council Grove Kansas 6 miles off of highway 177.  The camp is owned and operated by the Kansas Oklahoma Conference of United Church of Christ and is open year round to everyone.  The camp is surrounded by the lake on three sides of the property which creates breathtaking views wherever you maybe on the camp.  The camp not only has RV camping available it also has 4 smaller cabins that sleeps 16 with a small meeting/ kitchen area, and a larger cabin that sleeps 32 with a larger meeting/kitchen     area available for rent.  Kitchen service, larger meeting areas, swimming pool, canoeing, kayaking, and pontoon boating is also available.  The camp also has labyrinth and a large amphitheater available for weddings, concerts, plays, and family fun.  The camp can comfortably host 200 people but, is available for smaller groups and individuals as well.  This is a delightful vicinity for people who like lakes. Council Grove Lake is a lake close by, and Council Grove Dam is a wonderful place, positively worth taking a look at. A visit to Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve is worthwhile, and there are plenty of people from Council Grove here. This campground is so pleasant. A quick visit to Ritchey Creek near White Memorial Camp is a wonderful idea. The yearly rainfall here at White Memorial Camp is about average; throughout   the month of June you get the most rain around here, and January is when it's the driest. For the period of the summer months, highs generally are in the 90's at White Memorial Camp with nighttime lows in the 60's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 30's, and overnight lows at White Memorial Camp during the winter typically plunge into the 10's.
