On close by Ashuelot       River you find a category II-IV run of whitewater; the Ashuelot to Hinsdale portion is 3.5 miles long. The Ashuelot to Hinsdale portion of Ashuelot River is suitable for whitewater paddlers who have been raft paddling for a bit but   who are not yet set for the especially perilous rapids. Don't fail to remember to check circumstances previous to going raft paddling to ensure your protection. Not far from Camp Spofford you discover Arnone's Family FUN Center, an excellent spot to race go-karts. If you are trying to locate a bowling alley nearby, French King Bowling Center is next to Camp Spofford.   AMENITIES Tent camping is available - We have campsites for trailers and tents. Sites have electric and water hook-up. Meals and children's programs are NOT included in the price. No open fires are permitted. Please bring grills or camp stoves. A central bathhouse with showers is available for all sites. Children's programs and meals in the dining hall may be purchased in the office at least one meal prior to eating time RV hookups are available - Campsites: Available in the early fall and late spring, we have campsites for trailers and tents.
