Great Smoky Mountains National Park is a wonderful local destination here at K O A Kampgrounds, and if you get bored of K O A Kampgrounds you could also visit close by Homer Burgess Lake. Hiking is a popular thing to do around K O A Kampgrounds; Lower Whiterock Trail is a glorious local trail; here at K O A Kampgrounds you can spot Rattlesnake Mountain.

Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Great Smoky Mountains. There are some great whitewater spots on Raven Fork; do visit Grassy Branch if you're here at K O A Kampgrounds. K O A Kampgrounds is a wet location that gets much rain; the month of March is the wettest with most of
the rain, and the driest month of the year is October.
If you are in North Carolina all through camping season, you should go camping. The kind workforce and the delightful quality of everything here are in themselves reason enough to come here.

along the Caldwell Fork Trail, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Baxter Creek Trail. High temperatures at K O A Kampgrounds through the warm months are in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 60's. High temperatures through the wintertime
are normally in the 40's with temperatures at K O A Kampgrounds dipping down into the 20's during winter nights.
