The kind atmosphere and the fantastically well run facilities will make you feel great. the Banning State Park to Sandstone segment is a good 3-mile-in-distance piece of Kettle River. You might get drenched paddling this part of Kettle River, so you should be prepared for that. Whitewater rapids are hazardous matters,

so you should check current conditions previous to going. A journey to a close by bowling alley such as Sandstone Lanes is always cool; a great swamp in the neighborhood of Wilderness Campgrounds is Fox Lake. Places like Moose Lake State Park are tremendous to have a look at, and playing golf is lots of fun at Sandstone Area Country Club. This campground is always a bliss.

AMENITIES Tent camping is available - We do have a number of sites available for tent camping, including sites along the Kettle River and sites overlooking Long Lake. All these sites are wooded. Some of our tent sites are suitable for group camping. The sites near Long Lake have water and electric hookups available, the sites adjacent to the river are rustic. RV hookups are available - We have twenty (20) sites that have water, electricity, and sewer hookups. A number of additional sites are available with water and electrical hookups. We also have rustic sites. Pets are allowed - On leash, or under the control of owner. Campfires are allowed - We do have campfire rings on the respective camping sites. Firewood generally can be gathered in the adjacent wooded areas. Grocery store nearby - There are several sites within a couple miles for groceries. Willow River Mercantile in nearby Willow River maintains a complete line of grocery products and other merchandise. The gas station in Rutledge sells convenient store items. No pool - However, we do have a natural sand beach with an adjacent childrens playground. There is a swim dock and a very adequate area for swimming. Game Room - However, we do offer a wide variety of outdoor games and facilities. We have three tennis courts available, a volleyball court is located near the beach. We also have basketball, horseshoes, and other activities. Fishing in both Long Lake, Wolf Lake, and the Kettle River is available. The lakes are stocked by DNR. We docks for boats and a long dock extending into the lake with benches at the end for fishing. No Store
