Swannanoa River has a nearby whitewater part; the Main Bridge In Swannanoa to Azalea segment   is a magnificent 8.6-mile-in-length grade I-II part of whitewater. This segment of Swannanoa River is advised for novice whitewater paddlers. Check the latest conditions prior to departure on the whitewater, otherwise it's not safe and sound.
