Hiking along the Lost Maples State Natural Area Trails is brilliant fun, and Camp Live Oak is not the only site nearby, Harrison Lake is a nearby lake. For the duration of the wintertime the highs are usually in the 50's, and overnight lows in the 20's for Camp Live Oak. Camp Live Oak gets a common amount of annual rain; October is the wettest month with most rain, and December is the month with the least moisture. You can run the rapids of Dry Frio River near Camp Live Oak. Garner State Park is a fine place to stretch your legs a bit, and let's not forget East Frio River which is a stream that you may stumble upon during your stay. | |
