Shawangunk Kill is a magnificent local stream, and if you're here you will meet lots of people from close by Gardiner. Lazy River Campground in fact is in the middle of a stunning outdoors paradise. You can run the rapids of Rochester Creek next to Lazy River Campground, and going for a hike on the Kanape Jeep Trail is always a fine adventure. There's so much stuff to do near Lazy River Campground, and a lot of people like to come here to get away. The surroundings of this campground   have such a great deal of things to offer. If you're here at Lazy River Campground and you like golf, you can go to New Paltz Golf Course, and skiing at Tuxedo Ridge is one of those things you just have to do. A number of folks stay at Lazy River Campground when they come to check out Minnewaska State Park Preserve. This is in fact a glorious campground. There are some great whitewater spots on Wallkill River, and Minnewaska State Park Preserve is a great location.
