You can't spend too much time indoors; you've got to get out of the house from time
 
    to time, and Moose River Outpost in Maine is a nice place to go. Moose River Outpost is a very popular campground among the people of Jackman.
The staff who's always there to help out and the splendor of the place have people
 coming from near and far. It's completely out of the question to get bored in Maine if you love the outdoors.

If you adore the outdoors, you won’t be disenchanted; there's fishing, swimming, whitewater paddling, and hiking, so it's impossible to get bored. If you're trying to locate a category I-II whitewater part to paddle, you're in luck; the US Route 201 Bridge to Canada Falls Lake segment is a good 11.5-mile-long piece of Penobscot River - South
 
    Branch. This part of Penobscot River - South Branch is a part of water suited for novices in whitewater rafting or kayaking. Of course, whitewater rafting or kayaking is enjoyable but risky; check the situation before heading out.
  Take a hike on the Sally Mountain Trail, and there's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at close by Sugarloaf USA. Going for a hike along the Alder Brook Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood. Here at Moose River Outpost there are plenty of folks from Jackman, and why not take a little spree to Heald Stream while you're here. Heald Stream Dam has great water scenery and it's in the vicinity of Moose River Outpost, and Grace Pond is a nearby lake that you could stop by.
