Lots of folks choose this campground for the purpose of being near Putnam Memorial Park. There is so much entertaining stuff to do near Mountain Workshop; it sure is a splendid campground. A grade II, 8-mile-long   whitewater bit can be found on close by Norwalk River, the Bridge in Cannondale to Mouth sector. You are not likely to get covered with water paddling this bit of Norwalk River. Whitewater rapids are treacherous occurrences, so you should check the latest conditions before you go.
