The most excellent way to take pleasure in the great outdoors here is in a canoe; if by chance you don’t mind getting wet, you may do some water skiing since you're here at Forest Lake Camp. Go for a ride on a horse at this campground. 200 acres of skiing land is on hand to the skiers who go to Hickory Ski Center in the wintertime; 50% of the trails are green and blue while 50% are black and red. There are 18       trails to choose from and 4 lifts at the nearby ski resort Hickory Ski Center. Hickory Ski Center gets covered by on average 3 feet of white snow every year and has a great 1,280-foot height difference. If you're seeking a category   II-III whitewater part to kayak, you're in luck; the Warrensburg to Thurman Station segment is a nice 1-mile-long piece of Schroon River. You might get covered with water kayak paddling this part of Schroon River, so you should be set for that. For your safety you ought to always check the situation ahead of going kayak paddling.
