II-III whitewater part to kayak, you're in luck; the Warrensburg to Thurman Station segment is a nice 1-mile-long piece of Schroon River. You might get covered with water kayak paddling this part of Schroon River, so you should be set for that. For your safety you ought to always check the situation ahead of going kayak paddling. Take a trip to close by Wildwest Ranch in Western Town and ride a horse; if the weather is good, you can go for a hike along the Long Swing Trail.
