On Potomac River close by you come upon the 2.5-mile-long Harpers Ferry - Dam #3 to Route 340 sector of class II+ whitewater. Don’t be sure of remaining dry whitewater boating this bit of   Potomac River if you're not an expert paddler. You must check restrictions before you go; whitewater boating could become perilous. Bring the little ones on several fun rides at nearby PUMP IT UP; you can go for a hike on the Loudoun Heights Trail. There are scores of fun video games for the kids at close by Northside Station II.
