The Pyramid Trail is one of the most interesting and breath-taking trails we've taken. It is a well marked, 4 mile winding trail through sand, valleys, unusual rock formations (hoo doos) in shades of green, sandstone, yellow. The top affords a 360 degree view of the Gallop area. Can be very windy through Memorial Day. The campground staff are great and facilities clean. Says Sue and Vic

    Showers are offered at Red Rock State Park, and of course there are restrooms here. Everyone ought to go hiking sometimes, and Red Rock State Park is a good place to do that. The personnel who's always there to help and the great
 facilities are in themselves motive enough to come here. Red Rock State Park is loved by the folks in Church Rock.
There's more to do near Red Rock State Park other than just hanging out such as playing golf, swimming, and fishing, so running out of amusing things to do won’t happen.

At this campground you will always have a good time. A delightful lake like McGaffey Lake next to Red Rock State Park is a great spot to check out. The panoramas at El Morro National Monument will blow your mind; why not spend some time golfing at a close by golf course like Gallup Municipal Golf Course.
