The type I-II Hanksville to Cochran Road segment of Huntington River is 8 miles long. This stretch of Huntington River is a stretch of water suited for beginners in whitewater rafting or kayaking. Don't go whitewater rafting or kayaking in advance of first checking the situation; it's dangerous stuff. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Mad River Glen, and unsurprisingly Jones Brook flows through this vicinity.
