Olentangy River has a wonderful whitewater paddling spot close by. There's more to do next to Dogwood Valley Camp other than just hanging out such as fishing, playing golf, swimming, and whitewater paddling, so it's out of the question to get bored. While visiting this area in Ohio it's a good idea to go camping for a couple of days too. Dogwood Valley Camp gets a normal amount of annual precipitation; throughout July this area sees the most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. A number of folks stay at Dogwood Valley Camp for the purpose of being in the vicinity of Mt. Gilead State Park.
