Nearby Activities: wildlife viewing in the millions of acres of public lands, including birdwatching; easy-to-moderate paced walks are available direct from Swiftwater Park,
including the walk (or drive) through town to the Nez Perce National Historic Park at the White Bird Battlefield, which is a self-guided tour. 4-wheeling is a favorite activity because there are so many rides, long and short, available direct from Swiftwater RV Park. Fishing for
Salmon (Spring season), Steelhead (September-April), trout, bass and other species is possible all along the banks of the Salmon River, year ‘round, and also in the Snake River, which is only 17 miles away in Hells Canyon. Horseback riding in the Nez Perce National Forest back
country is another great individual or family experience that we can assist with arranging.

White Bird is Idaho's shortest drive to the Hell's Canyon National Recreational Area. It is one of the historical
wilderness communities known as the Twin River area off of the Salmon and the Snake River systems that parallel one another. SwiftWater RV Park is only a 17 mile drive to North America's deepest river gorge, Hells Canyon.
Our park is a perfect area for anyone who loves the
outdoors and loves breathtaking scenery. Rainfall occurs randomly during the Spring months, and Summer is warm/hot during the day, and cooling down at night to delicious temps in the 50’s and 60’s.
White Bird Canyon is a perfect place to explore, and you'll meet a lot
of folks from White Bird here. Having a splendid time in the Clearwater Mountains is simple. While you're here at Swiftwater Rv Park, you could also take a look at pretty Swartz Pond, and float down the rapids of Salmon River in a kayak. This campground is always a bliss. Giants
