There's a heap of outdoors recreation available close at hand such as hiking, and whitewater paddling, so it's impossible to get bored. Paddling on Cross Fork is so much fun, and Sizerville State Park is both good and stunning. Nearby Butternut Hollow is a great spot to go if you're at Austin Campground; Sinnemahoning State Park is a wonderful site to visit on a gorgeous day.

You just can't picture the amount of outdoors amusing things the area right next door to Austin Campground has to offer. Head up to Ski Denton and strap some skis to your feet; since you're here you can take a hike along the Moores Run Fire Trail. This is a good campground. If you come at the right time of year, Young Womans Creek offers some splendid whitewater, and you can have a fine hiking adventure along the White Birch Trail.

rapids of Mosquito Creek in a kayak, and do take a hike on the Aspen Trail. Left Branch Big Nelson Run is a beautiful stream that is worth a visit, and the Upper Doctor Green Trail is a good hiking trail close by.
