| can get bored here in the Catskill Mountains. Skiing at Hunter Mountain is one of those things you just have to do, and since you're here why not stop at Stony Clove. This campground is so great. There are some tremendous whitewater spots on Stony Clove Creek, and there's pleasant hiking along the Vernooy Falls Trail. Go for a hike on the Spruceton Trail; get your heart pumping on the delightful whitewater of Esopus Creek.
