Canyon Country Campground, Pennsylvania Custom Search   Campground is nestled in the woods with Hiking Trail to the PA Grand Canyon. Wooded surroundings provides ample shade. Each campsite has a picnic table and fire ring. No hookup to (20/30amp) E/W/S sites. We also have rustic and full bath cabins. Our sites accommodate tents, pop-ups, travel trailers, fifth wheels and motorhomes up to 45'. Our single goal is to provide our guests with the highest quality in service and hospitality, insuring that you will not be disappointed with your Canyon Country camping experience. We are open April 15th until     October 31st. Reservations are accepted up to one year in advance. You may call any day, we will respond to your phone message even when the campground is closed for the season. We are located along the East Rim of the PA Grand Canyon with a hiking trail from the campground to the canyon overlook level at Leonard Harrison State Park being an easy 3/4 mile walk. The Pennsylvania Grand Canyon area offers rafting or canoeing on the Pine Creek River, a narrated Covered Wagon Ride into the canyon or horseback riding by the hour, half day, or couple day trips, Hiking or Biking the Pine Creek Rail Trail and more. You can visit Animaland & The Canyon Gift Shoppe, Yellow Basket Shop, Pottery Store, and much more - all from within walking distance to just a short drive from the campground. Just can't get enough of Canyon Country Campground. You could also pop by Lake Nessmuk if you're here at Canyon Country Campground; it's close by. Going for a hike along the School House Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity, and you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Ski Sawmill while you're here. This is such a scenic campground. Canyon Country Campground is in the vicinity of Hills Creek State Park which is a lovely spot, and if you're a golfer then a brilliant nearby course is Tyoga Country Club. In the event that you don't mind getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Pine Creek, and the Oak Ridge Trail offers hiking at its best. At Canyon Country Campground you can make out Barlow Hill, and Stony Fork Creek is a brilliant whitewater spot close by. This campground is always a delight. When you're here at Canyon Country Campground it's always fun to visit Leonard Harrison State Park; hiking is a popular thing to do around Canyon Country Campground; Cass Trail is a pleasant local trail. Canyon Country Campground is a good place of common precipitation; June is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest of the months is January. But wait, there's more to do in the neighborhood of Canyon Country Campground. Here at Canyon Country Campground there are plenty of folks from Wellsboro, and you can run the rapids of Babb Creek. Summertime highs at Canyon Country Campground usually tend to be in the 70's with overnight lows in the 50's.
