Cannon Hill Campground, West Virginia   The campground is a the base of Cannon Hill, a Civil War battle site. Nearby in Rowlesburg are several attractions: Railroad Depot Museum and Caboose, Tray Run Viaduct, WWII Museum, white water rafting and several summer festivals (see www.rowlesburg.org). The Allegheny Trail Shelter is part of the campground.  The Community Park is open all summer. Fresh water and toilet facilities are available in the Park. Tygart Lake State Park is a wonderful spot any time of year. High temperatures at Cannon Hill Campground throughout the months of summer     are in the 80's with night lows in the 60's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's, and night lows in the 10's for Cannon Hill Campground. The good variety of local attractions and all the outdoors recreation will unquestionably have you coming back time and again. Cannon Hill Campground gets a common amount of rain; all through the month of July you get the most rain around here while February is mostly the driest month. This campground is always a bliss. Saltlick Creek is one of the streams nearby that might be worth stopping at, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Cheat River. Blackwater Falls State Park is a splendid location to stretch your legs a bit, and since you're here why not stop at Fill Hollow. Cannon Hill Campground is situated in a neighborhood with a lot of enjoyable things to do, and it is   a fine escape from the ordinary. There's a lot of outdoors recreation available around here such as whitewater paddling, and hiking, so you won’t run out of things to do. This is such a pretty campground. If you come at the right time of year, Pringle Run offers some glorious whitewater, and going for a hike along the Shingle Tree Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region. West Virginia is a fine place for campers. The folks who look after the campground and the beauty of the place have a lot of people coming here. Lots of people from Tunnelton come to Cannon Hill Campground; on a brilliant day you can take a hike along the Pheasant Mountain Trail. Any time is a brilliant time at Cannon Hill Campground if you have a thing about the outdoors. At Cannon Hill Campground you can observe Cannon Hill, and if the weather is brilliant, you can go for a hike along the Shingle Tree Run Trail. Get soaked paddling on Buffalo Creek; the Canyon Rim Trail is a good hiking trail close by. Cannon Hill Campground is a campground prized by folks of Tunnelton. Everybody nearby loves skiing at Wisp, and there is a tremendous hiking trail close by called the Flat Rock Trail.
