Limited camping in the Rowlesburg Park itself with water hookup and electricity. Please call ahead 304-454-2241--Mayor's Office of Tourism. Allegheny Trail goes by the campground. Shelter available for hikers. Cannon Hill is a Civil War Battle Site. Rich history and railroad heritage. Fabulous WWII Museum.
There is a tremendous hiking trail close to Cannon Hill Campground called the Pheasant Mountain Trail, |

and Fill Hollow is a brilliant site to spend some time. An average amount of rain falls at Cannon Hill Campground; the wettest month of the year is usually July, that's the one that rains the most, and February meanwhile is the driest month. Loads of fun is at this campground.
| Get wet paddling on Buffalo Creek, and Tygart Lake State Park is worth going to. Just can't get enough of Cannon Hill Campground. The Shingle Tree Run Trail is a great hiking trail near Cannon Hill Campground, and let's not forget Saltlick Creek which is a stream that you may run into while you're here.
This campground has so unbelievably much. If the weather is fine here at Cannon Hill Campground, you can go for a hike along the Shingle Tree Trail; if you're stopping by from Tunnelton, you won't be the only one. Go for a hike on the Flat Rock Trail, | |

and the vista of pretty Cannon Hill is brilliant. Through the warm months at Cannon Hill Campground highs are usually in the 80's. Summer nighttime lows drop down to the 60's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Cannon
Hill Campground.
Going for a hike on the Canyon Rim Trail is always a good adventure, and if you come at the right time of year, Pringle Run offers some delightful whitewater. Blackwater Falls State Park is a nice place to go if you're at Cannon Hill Campground, and if you like skiing, you're in luck; Wisp is pretty near. Drift down the rapids of Cheat River in a kayak.
