Eveleth Veteran's Park, Minnesota Custom Search   200 beautiful wooded acres in Northern Minnesota with a swimming beach and fishing pier. This is a city owner campground, with showers, restrooms, and an RV Dump Station. Summer activites include monthy 'Movies in the Park', close proximity to the city golfcourse, an OHV Park, and easy access to the Mesabi Trail, a 130 mile long bike trail. You could also stop at Saint Marys Lake while you're here at Eveleth Veteran's Park; it's nearby, and do take a hike on the Taconite Trail. If you come at the right time of year, Cloquet River offers some delightful whitewater; if you like skiing, you're in luck; Giants Ridge is reasonably near. Eveleth Veteran's Park is frequently a relatively dehydrated spot; of all the months in a year June is the one with the most rain; the driest month of the year is February. This campground is always a delight. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Vermilion River, and a round of golf at nearby Eveleth Municipal Golf Course   is a wonderful way to kill some time. High temperatures at Eveleth Veteran's Park during the summertime months are in the 70's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. All through the winter highs are in the 10's; winter nights come with lows in the-10's to Eveleth Veteran's Park. Places like Bear Head Lake State Park are good to take a look at, and get yourself into a kayak and hit St. Louis River. You imagine that's enough? Just getting warmed up.
