| | All year is a fine time in the Absaroka Range if you go for the outdoors. Go for a hike on the Rock Creek Trail, and some nearby water includes Middle Fork Wood River. For the duration of the warm months, highs mostly are in the 80's at Wood River Campground, and throughout the night it cools down to the 40's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 30's, and nighttime lows in the 10's for Wood River Campground. | the Wind River Trail. Everybody ought to go for a weekend of camping once in a while, and Wood River Campground is a wonderful local campground if you happen to be in Wyoming. It is very waterless here at Wood River Campground generally; during May this area sees the most rain, and January meanwhile is the driest month. Some activities here at Wood River Campground are hiking, and whitewater paddling, so running out of cool things to do won’t happen. is a good whitewater spot close to Wood River Campground; close by you come across the Timber Creek Trail which is a fine hiking trail. In case you don’t mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Wind River - East Fork, and there are glorious spots
to explore along the Wind River Trail. So many cool things to do here in the Absaroka Range, too fine to be true. Going for a hike on the Gooseberry Trail is always a magnificent adventure, and Buffalo Bill State Park is worth stopping at. As long as you like the outdoors you will like Wyoming.
