The good local attractions and the close by outdoors recreation are good incentives to come. Tongue Canyon Campground is usually a pretty dried out place; during May this area sees the most rain; the driest month is February. Good hiking is available along the Tepee Trail, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Tongue River.
