Tie Hack Campground gets very little rain; during the month of May you get the most rain around here, and February on the other hand is the driest. Some nearby water includes Sourdough Creek; there is a glorious hiking trail nearby   called the Stockwell Trail. If you fancy the outdoors, you won’t be disenchanted; there's hiking, and whitewater paddling, so perhaps you want to stay a while. While you're here at Tie Hack Campground you can take a hike along the Story Penrose Trail, and float down the rapids of Clear Creek in a kayak.
