Leigh Creek flows through this vicinity, and there is a pleasant hiking trail nearby called the Edelman Trail. Tensleep Campground is usually a quite dry spot; June is the month that gets the most rain, and February is when it's the driest. This campground is so tremendous. In case you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Tensleep Creek; you can have a great hiking adventure along the Mistymoon Trail.
