Tensleep Campground, Bighorn Mountains, Wyoming   Tensleep Campground is a tremendous camp ground to use as a base while enjoying the Bighorn Mountains. Tensleep Campground is not far at all from Ten Sleep; close by you locate the North High Park Trail which is a good hiking trail. Ok, you've been cooped up for too much time, you have to get out, and Tensleep Campground in Wyoming is just what you need. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Bighorn Mountains. Bighorn National Forest is a delightful location to check out on a beautiful day, and a good site to have a look at is Post Draw. The warmest     time of the year at Tensleep Campground arrives with high temperatures in the 60's, and during the night it cools down to the 30's. Throughout the winter this place gets highs in the 20's while Tensleep Campground nighttime low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 0's. This campground is so tremendous. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Big Horn Ski, and if the weather is great, you can go for a hike along the Main Paint Rock Trail. But wait, there's more entertaining things to do in the Bighorn Mountains. If you're here at Tensleep Campground, you could go to Leigh Creek, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Tensleep Creek. Wyoming has loads of outdoors activities. Just can't get enough of Tensleep Campground. If you come at the right time of year, Paintrock Creek offers some great whitewater,   and going for a hike on the Edelman Trail is always a great adventure. There's more to do near Tensleep Campground other than just hanging out such as hiking, and whitewater paddling, so you won’t get bored. Not much precipitation falls here at Tensleep Campground; June is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest of the months is February. So many local attractions and all the outdoors recreation will positively have you coming back over and over. There's such an incredible array of things to do in the neighborhood of Tensleep Campground, and to be at this place is great fun any time. This campground has so many amusing things to offer. Leigh Monument is something you shouldn't miss while you're here at Tensleep Campground, and the Kinky White Trail is a perfect hiking trail close by. Tensleep Campground is an old favorite with the residents of Ten Sleep. While you're here at Tensleep Campground you can take a hike along the Mistymoon Trail, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Powder River - North Fork.
