Island Park Campground, Bighorn Mountains, Wyoming   The Bighorn Mountains scenery is always wonderful. All the good local attractions in the vicinity and such a good variety of outdoors recreation will positively have you coming back persistently. You've been indoors for too long, you've gotta get out, and Island Park Campground, Wyoming is a brilliant site for getting out. If you want a good time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Bighorn Mountains. Places like Bighorn National Forest are great to explore; why not take a refreshing hike along the Cliff Lake Trail. West Tensleep Lake is a     nearby lake that you could check out, and a good place for whitewater paddling is Paintrock Creek. For the period of the days of summer highs here at Island Park Campground reach the 60's with overnight lows in the 30's. Island Park Campground is usually a pretty dehydrated place; of all the months in a year April is the   one with the most snow; the driest month is February. Having a good time at Island Park Campground is painless. Hiking along the North High Park Trail is nice fun, and don't forget to take a tremendous little spree to Willow Creek. There's more to do in the vicinity of Island Park Campground other than just hanging out such as whitewater paddling, hiking, swimming, and fishing, so you won’t run out of things to do. Island Park Campground is right by the Kinky White Trail, and needless to say, A visit to Warner Draw is always fun. A visit to Wyoming is not complete without some camping. This campground is so wonderful. Powder River - North Fork is a good whitewater spot next to Island Park Campground. These mountains rock, just check out all the entertaining things to do in the Bighorn Mountains. There's great hiking along the Mistymoon Trail, and you can run the rapids of Tensleep Creek.
