A number of people stay at Highland Park Campground throughout their tour to Bighorn National Forest. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this spot. Lakes are such calm places, why not pop by Flatiron Lake near Highland Park Campground, and don't leave Highland Park Campground without first going for a hike along the Solitude Trail.
This campground
    is always a bliss. Kearney Lake Dam is pretty and it's right next door to Highland Park Campground. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Bighorn Mountains. A journey to Highland Park Campground wouldn’t be complete without a tour to close by Bighorn National Forest, and you can
go for a hike on the Penrose Park Trail. Such a good pick of attractions and all the outdoors recreation will make you pleased you came.
This is such a beautiful campground. In the event that you don't mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Tensleep Creek; why not head up to Big Horn Ski and strap some skis to your feet. Highland Park Campground is a glorious camp ground to use as a base while enjoying the Bighorn Mountains.
Wyoming is a nice outdoors state. Good hiking is available along the Cliff Lake Trail, and get soaked
 
paddling on Clear Creek.
Highland Park Campground is located in a neighborhood with scores of cool stuff to do, and it is one of scores of nice campgrounds in this area. But wait, there's more exciting stuff to do in the Bighorn Mountains. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Highland Park Campground; Stockwell Trail is a good local trail, and at Highland Park Campground you always meet someone from Sheridan. It is very arid here at Highland Park Campground generally; the month of April is the wettest with most of the snow, and the driest month is February.
During the long summer days, highs regularly are in the 60's at Highland Park Campground, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 30's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 20's with temperatures at Highland Park Campground dipping down into the 0's all through winter nights. Outdoors recreation is bountiful, some of the cool stuff you can do is whitewater paddling, hiking, fishing, and swimming, so there's no way to get bored.
