A brilliant spot for whitewater paddling next to Hatchet Campground is Snake River, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Hatchet Campground; Atlantic Pacific Creek Trail is a glorious local trail. You're sure to encounter some friendly folks from Moran here; don't leave Hatchet Campground without first going for a hike along the Lava Creek Trail. Very great water scenery is available at Tracy Lake Dam near Hatchet Campground, and a quick visit to Blackrock Creek is absolutely a tremendous idea. Hatchet Campground is often visited by folks | |

from Moran. For the period of the summer highs here at Hatchet Campground get into the 70's, and the overnight is slightly colder of course, generally in the 30's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Hatchet Campground are in the-10's.
This campground is so splendid. You can run the rapids of Ditch Creek close to Hatchet Campground, and the Moss Lake Trail offers hiking at its best. This part of Wyoming is always a bliss to visit through camping season. Hatchet Campground is right by the Whetstone Creek Trail,
and at Hatchet Campground you can make out Burro Hill. A campground like this is too splendid to miss. A visit to Grand Teton National Park is worthwhile.
