| | If you are in Wyoming all through camping season, you must go camping. Fox Creek Campground is extremely popular with visitors from Cooke City. Fox Creek Campground is a good site of typical precipitation; June is when you get the most rain here, and October is when it's the driest. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Crandall Creek, and lakes are such calm sites, why not visit Reed Lake. If you come at the right time of year, Clarks Fork Yellowstone offers some brilliant whitewater; good hiking is available |
along the Crazy Mountain Trail. At this campground you will always have a perfect time. Fox Creek Campground is one of the places to camp here in the Absaroka Range. Man, is there a lot of amusing stuff to do in close proximity to Fox Creek Campground. Take a side visit to
| Fox Creek, and you can go for a hike on the Crazy Lakes Trail. Now, you may assume that's heaps but there's even more fun stuff to do here in the Absaroka Range. Lots of folks from Cooke City come to Fox Creek Campground, and nearby you stumble on the Pilot Creek Trail which is a great hiking trail. This campground is a lovely place to visit. There are some splendid whitewater spots on Clarks Fork Yellowstone River, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Fox Creek Campground; Lake Reno Trail is a great local trail. magnificent site to spend some time. Summer at Fox Creek Campground arrives with high temperatures in the 70's. All through the moonlight hours it's regularly in the 30's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 20's; winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Fox Creek Campground.
