Creek is one of the streams nearby that might be worth a visit; get soaked paddling on North Platte River. Hiking along the Lakes Trail is good fun; a tour to State Forest State Park is a good idea. This is in fact a great campground. Gotta ski! Snowy Range is a glorious site
to do that, and there's nice hiking along the Mendenhall Trail. All through the warm months at Evans Creek Campground temperatures are ordinarily in the 70's, and the night is a bit colder of course, mostly in the 40's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's while Evans Creek Campground nighttime low temperatures throughout the winter are in the 10's.
