People from Wolf love to come to Cross Creek Campground, and a spree here wouldn’t be complete without a tour to close by Bighorn National Forest. Yeah, come up here to the Bighorn Mountains for a nice time. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Tongue River, and if the weather is splendid, you can go for a hike along the Game Creek Trail.

This campground is so tremendous. Get your heart pumping on the great whitewater of Tensleep Creek, and there
is a glorious hiking trail close by called the Cliff Lake Trail. So many exciting things right next door to Cross Creek Campground, and if you're trying to find a perfect place to go for a weekend of camping, this is a great choice. It is very dried up here at Cross Creek Campground commonly; through April this area sees the most snow while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
