Creek Campground. Atherton Creek Campground is right by the Two Ocean Lake Trail, and the friendly people of Jackson like to hang out close by. Not much rain falls here at Atherton Creek Campground; January is the wettest month with most snow, and July is when it's the driest.
Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Granite Creek, and Lower Slide Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop by.
