Through the warm days of summer here at Swallow Rock Campground, high temperatures regularly reach the 80's. Summer nighttime lows dip down to the 50's.     perfect local stream; Cheat River - Dry Fork has a perfect whitewater paddling spot nearby. This campground is so great. During your spree to Swallow Rock Campground you'll meet some people from Whitmer for sure, and Monongahela National Forest is a pleasant site to have a look
at on a lovely day.
There's so much stuff to do at Swallow Rock Campground including fishing, hiking, whitewater paddling, and swimming, so you won’t get bored. Any time is a tremendous time at Swallow Rock Campground if you go for the outdoors. Good hiking is available along the Swallow Rock Trail, and a wonderful lake like Spruce Knob Lake is a great location to go to.
Swallow Rock Campground is right by the Bear Hunter Trail, and Little Low Place is also a wonderful location to discover. The Elza Trail offers hiking at its best, and paddling
 
on Seneca Creek is so much fun. Swallow Rock Campground is a very popular old favorite campground among the people in Whitmer.
A campground like this is too great to miss. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Swallow Rock Campground; North Fork Big Run Trail is a delightful local trail; if you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Gandy Creek. Going to Blackwater Falls State Park near Swallow Rock Campground is a delightful thing to do, and hey, Gotta ski right? Canaan Valley is a great place to do that.
West Virginia is a tremendous spot for campers. Don't leave Swallow Rock Campground without first going for a hike along the Bee Trail.
The high level of precipitation makes Swallow Rock Campground a relatively wet place; through July this area sees the most rain, and the driest month of the year is February. At Swallow Rock Campground cool stuff to do is abundant, and spending time at this campground is fantastically enjoyable.
