  The great local attractions and such an incredible array of things to do will make you delighted you came. In West Virginia you never run out of outdoors enjoyable stuff. As if Smoke Hole Campground wasn't enough, you can also go whitewater paddling, and hiking, so running out of cool things to do won’t happen. Smoke Hole Campground is frequently visited by folks from Upper Tract.
Smoke Hole Campground is a reasonably wet place generally with a lot of precipitation; the month with most of the rain is July, and October is the month with the least
    moisture. That right there is lots already, but it carries on; Smoke Hole Campground has it all. Have a fine hiking adventure along the Loop Trail, and in case you don’t mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Potomac River - South Branch.
For the period of the summer months here at Smoke Hole Campground, high temperatures frequently get into the 70's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures fall down into the 50's. For the duration of the winter the highs are commonly in the 30's while Smoke Hole Campground overnight low temperatures during the winter are in the 10's. If you come to this campground, you will have a tremendous time for sure. If the weather is glorious here at Smoke Hole Campground, you can go for a hike along the North Fork Mountain Trail, and Potomac River  
- North Fork of South Branch is a good whitewater spot close by.
And that's not all you can do here at Smoke Hole Campground. While staying at Smoke Hole Campground you could always look at Dry Hollow, and during your journey here you'll meet some folks from Upper Tract for sure. Time to get out and breathe some fresh air, and Smoke Hole Campground is a brilliant local campground if you happen to be in West Virginia.
Hiking along the Redman Trail is delightful fun, and you can never get enough of the great skiing at Timberline. Don't leave Smoke Hole Campground without visiting Blackwater Falls State Park, and Long Run is in the neighborhood of Smoke Hole Campground and is always a bliss to check out.
While you're here at Smoke Hole Campground you can take a hike along the North Mountain Trail; a spree here wouldn’t be complete without a trip to nearby Lost River State Park. This campground has so much. A great spot for whitewater paddling close to Smoke Hole Campground is Potomac River - South Branch; Eagle Rock is a wonderful location to go to while in the vicinity. Smoke Hole Campground is right by the South Branch Trail, and the top of Cave Mountain is easily seen from Smoke Hole Campground.
