Smoke Hole Campground is not the only site nearby, Spruce Island Lake is a nearby lake, and Eagle Rock is an out of the ordinary location to take a look at while at Smoke Hole Campground. But wait, there's more to do in the vicinity of Smoke Hole Campground. The top of Cave Mountain is easily spotted from Smoke Hole Campground. The Redman Trail is a splendid hiking trail right next door to Smoke Hole Campground; if you don’t have a problem getting covered with water,
you can always go whitewater paddling on Potomac River - South Branch. The high level of rain makes Smoke Hole Campground a rather wet place; the month of July is the wettest with most of the rain, and October on the other hand is the driest. Potomac River - North Fork of South
Branch has a wonderful whitewater paddling spot nearby, and since you're here, you might as well stop at Dry Hollow. The surroundings of this campground have so much stuff to offer. Why not take a look at close by Long Run since you're here at Smoke Hole Campground; while you're
here you will meet lots of people from nearby Upper Tract. A spree to Smoke Hole Campground wouldn’t be complete without a spree to nearby Lost River State Park; there is a splendid hiking trail close by called the Loop Trail.
