| This is a magnificent campground. Seneca Campground is exceptionally popular with the folks from Onego. Going camping here in West Virginia is something you must do. At Seneca Campground through the warm months highs are in the 80's; throughout summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Highs throughout the winter are commonly in the 30's; night lows in the 10's for Seneca Campground. Campground you will meet lots of folks from nearby Onego, and on a great day you can take a hike along the High Meadows Trail. Drift down the rapids of Waites Run in a kayak, and you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Canaan Valley since you're here. What a
spot this is for outdoors folks. Monongahela National Forest is a delightful site; there is a good hiking trail close by called the Horton Trail. You have to get out of the house, and Seneca Campground in West Virginia is a really magnificent place to spend some time. Lots of rainfall falls at Seneca Campground; throughout July this area sees the most rain, and February is when it's the driest.
