Hawk Campground, West Virginia Custom Search   Primitive camping is a wonderful way to be next to the fresh air; getting to this primitive campground can be a bit tough, but it's well worth it. The natural splendor at this primitive campground is nice, and there aren't scores of facilities at Hawk Campground because it is a primitive campground. Everybody should go camping every so often, and Hawk Campground is a wonderful local campground if you happen to be in West Virginia. Hawk Campground is situated in a vicinity with a lot of amusing stuff to do, and campgrounds like these are wonderful.   All the nice local attractions in the neighborhood and such a nice variety of outdoors recreation will make you happy you came. There's lots of outdoors recreation available in the neighborhood such as fishing, whitewater paddling, hiking, and swimming, so you won’t run out of things to do. The Route 55 to Route 11 segment has a span of 20 miles; you come across this bit of whitewater on Cedar Creek. It's a grade I-II bit. It's probably ok to go whitewater rafting       or kayaking on this bit of Cedar Creek even if you believe your whitewater rafting or kayaking capabilities aren't very great. Whitewater rapids are perilous occurrences, so you must check restrictions previous to going. Hawk Campground   is next to Cold Spring Gap which is undeniably worth checking out. Everybody close by loves skiing at Bryce Resort; there's fine hiking along the Stony Creek Trail. Coming to this campground is always a great idea.
