and a lot of folks like to come here to get away. Gatewood Group Campground is right next door to Blackwater Falls State Park which is a picturesque spot, and don't leave Gatewood Group Campground without first going for a hike along the Gatewood Nature Trail.
This is such a fun place for a campground. Lafe Hedrick Hollow is a delightful place to pop by close to Gatewood Group Campground; there are glorious places to explore along the Big Run Trail. There's tremendous hiking along the North Fork Big Run Trail, and if you come at the right time of
 
year, Gandy Creek offers some perfect whitewater.
There's just no way anybody can get bored here at Gatewood Group Campground. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Bee Trail, and it's a tremendous idea to check out Big Run. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Gatewood Group Campground; Elza Trail is a good local trail, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Big Run River.
If you adore the outdoors, you won’t be disappointed; there's hiking, whitewater paddling, fishing, and swimming, so it's out of the question to get bored.
