There's whitewater on Potomac River - South Branch for all you adrenaline kick people, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Bandywine Lake Campground; Miller Run Trail is a magnificent local trail.
The great variety of local attractions and all the outdoors recreation are certain to keep you coming back many times. As if Bandywine Lake Campground wasn't sufficient, you can also go whitewater
    paddling, fishing, hiking, and swimming, so you won’t run out of things to do.
If you come at the right time of year, Potomac River - South Fork of the South Branch offers some glorious whitewater, and hiking along the Slate Springs Trail AA is perfect fun. There's great hiking
along the Road Run Trail, and if you wish for a little side trip, try Dry River Hollow.

A campground like this is too good to miss. Canaan Valley has nice slopes and a friendly staff; Cowger Mountain can be observed from Bandywine Lake Campground. While going to this neighborhood in West Virginia it's a good idea to go camping for a couple of days too.
