Always check current   conditions ahead of going raft paddling given that raft paddling is a risky endeavor. Going for a hike on the Great Divide Snowmobile Trail is always a glorious adventure. Flambeau River State Forest is a great location to stretch your legs a bit; close by you stumble on the Tuscobia State Trail which is a good hiking trail.
