Sunset Campground is a reasonably wet place mostly with a lot of rain; throughout December this area sees the most rain, and July meanwhile is the driest month. | paddling, so it's completely out of the question to get bored. If you are in Washington during camping season, you must go camping. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Northern Cascade Range. Going for a hike on the Horseshoe Ridge Trail is always a tremendous adventure; drift down the rapids of Lewis River - East Fork in a kayak. The brilliant local attractions and such a brilliant variety of outdoors recreation will certainly have you coming back over and over. No way I can stop, cause I'm havin' a magnificent time here at Sunset Campground. | |

Take a little visit to Snass Creek while you're here at Sunset Campground; nearby you hit upon the Washougal Trail which is a fine hiking trail. Through the summer months at Sunset Campground temperatures are generally in the 70's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's.
All through the winter this place gets highs in the 40's with temperatures at Sunset Campground dipping down into the 30's through winter nights. Go for a hike on the Siouxon Trail; Rooster Rock State Park is a gorgeous location any time of year. Lots of folks choose this campground
for the purpose of being in close proximity to Rooster Rock State Park. Sunset Campground is positioned in the Northern Cascade Range. Quite a lot of fun stuff to do next to Sunset Campground, and it's one of those sites where everything is fine.
