Campground if you love the outdoors. You can run the rapids of Grande Ronde River in the neighborhood of Spruce Spring Campground, and the July Ridge Trail offers hiking at its best. For the duration of the warm days of summer, highs commonly are in the 80's at Spruce Spring Campground, and all through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. High temperatures throughout the winter are normally in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Spruce Spring Campground are in the 20's. Good hiking is available along the Bear Creek Trail, and a trip to Umatilla National  
Forest when you're here is never a bad idea.
The Blue Mountains scenery is always charming. Spruce Spring Campground is right by the Melton Creek Trail; hey, Bear Creek is a great local stream.
There's a lot of outdoors recreation available in close proximity such as hiking, and whitewater paddling, so you won’t get bored. This campground is a great location to take a look at. Take a hike on the Low Saddle Trail; there's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at close by Bluewood.
Not much rain falls here at Spruce Spring Campground; January is the wettest month with most rain; July is the month with the least moisture.
