South Campground, Northern Cascade Range, Washington

| | Everybody must go camping for a couple of days now and then, and South Campground in Washington is exactly what you need. Scores of people camp here to be near Gifford Pinchot National Forest. Lewis River - North Fork has a wonderful whitewater paddling spot close by, and hiking along the Lusk Creek Trail is nice fun. Lots of precipitation falls at South Campground; December is the month that gets the most rain while July is usually the driest month. Crater Trail, and lakes are such calm places, why not have a look at Big Mosquito Lake. So many entertaining things in the Northern Cascade Range, just tremendous. Get dripping wet paddling on Lewis River - North Fork; if you're popping by from Hood River, you won't be the only
| one. This campground has so much enjoyable stuff to offer. Have a great hiking adventure along the Cougar Way; you undeniably must check out Gifford Pinchot National Forest while you're here. If you come to this campground, you will have a wonderful time for sure. Whitewater paddling is glorious on Quartz Creek; obviously Upper Tillicum Creek flows through this neighborhood. Yep, outdoors fun stuff to do are truly plentiful here at South Campground. South Campground is right by the Ridge Trail, and Twin Buttes is a peak you can see from South Campground. | |

The Table Mountain Trail offers hiking at its best, and Starvation Creek State Park is both wonderful and lovely. There is so much entertaining stuff to do in the vicinity of South Campground, and when you get to enjoy this place for a while you will feel like a different person.
So many local attractions and the great variety of outdoors recreation will make you delighted you came. This segment of Washington is always a delight to stop by throughout camping season. At South Campground through the summer highs are in the 70's. Once the sun is down it
dips down to the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 40's; night lows in the 30's for South Campground. The Northern Cascade Range scenery is always lovely.
