Through the warmest time of the year at Shuksan Campground highs are ordinarily in the 70's; through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. During the winter highs are in the 40's, and overnight lows through the wintertime for Shuksan Campground tend to be in the 30's. Man, is there lots of entertaining stuff to do in the Northern Cascade Range. If you come at the right time of year, Ruth Creek offers some good whitewater, and at Shuksan Campground you can distinguish Slate Mountain. This campground is so wonderful. There are some delightful whitewater spots on Nooksack River - North Fork; Lake Chelan National Recreation Area is a fine local destination. The good local attractions and all the outdoors recreation are tremendous incentives to come. Whitewater   paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Baker River; a visit to Rockport State Park is a pleasant idea. Shuksan Campground sees pretty high levels of rain; the month of November is the wettest with most of the rain while July is mostly the driest month. Outdoors recreation is plentiful, some of the fun stuff you can do is relaxing, and whitewater paddling, so you won’t get bored.
