Near San Juan Campground you discover the Fire Creek Way which is a good hiking trail, and Skykomish River - North Fork has a splendid whitewater paddling spot nearby. That right there is a load of fun stuff already but it goes on, the Northern Cascade Range has it all. Wenatchee National Forest is a glorious place; paddling on Silver Creek is so much fun. All the water falling down from the sky   makes San Juan Campground a wet place; November is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month is July. You'll truly wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the entertaining things in the Northern Cascade Range. At San Juan Campground you always meet someone from Skykomish, and the Meadow Mountain Trail is a magnificent hiking trail nearby. For the period of the summertime, highs commonly are in the 70's at San Juan Campground. Through the moonlight hours it's commonly in the 50's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 40's, and overnight lows at San Juan Campground throughout the winter frequently sink into the 20's. A campground like this is too glorious to miss. If the weather is good here at San Juan Campground, you can go for a hike along the Lost Creek Ridge Trail, and going for a hike on the Kennedy Ridge Trail is always a delightful adventure. There are so many fun things next to San Juan Campground, and what a tremendous location for camping it is. On a magnificent day at San Juan Campground you can take a hike along the Camp Creek Ridge Trail, and a striking lake like Boulder Lake is a great site to go to.
