Colville National Forest is a great location to stop at, and a pleasant place for whitewater paddling is Sherman Creek. The nice selection     of local attractions, and all the outdoors recreation will without doubt have you coming back over and over. Near Pierre Lake Campground you stumble on Box Canyon which is a good place to take a look at, and Pierre Lake Campground is not far at all from Orient. If you love the outdoors, you won’t be saddened; there's fishing, whitewater paddling, and swimming, so you won’t run out of things to do. Curlew Lake State Park is a nice spot. Pierre Lake Campground is fantastically well loved by folks from Orient. This segment of Washington is always a bliss to stop by throughout camping season. There's so many things to do in close proximity to Pierre Lake Campground, and it is a good escape from everyday life. The winter brings highs down to the 30's, and during the dark hours in the wintertime at Pierre Lake Campground temperatures sink to the 10's. First Thought Mountain is clearly visible from Pierre Lake Campground, and naturally Pierre Creek is a gorgeous stream that is worth checking out.
