The 6.5-mile-long Deer Creek to Mallardy Creek segment is a grade II segment of whitewater on Stillaguamish River - South Fork. Whitewater boaters on this sweep of Stillaguamish River - South Fork don’t need scores of practice in whitewater kayaking and rafting. Check the latest conditions previous to going on the whitewater, otherwise it's not safe. Hiking along the Lost Creek Ridge Trail is pleasant fun; a day on the slopes of Stevens Pass is just what you need. So much cool stuff to do
 
in the Northern Cascade Range, not sufficient time. If the weather is nice here at Perry Creek Campground, you can go for a hike along the Camp Creek Ridge Trail, and do go to Boulder Lake, it's a stunning lake.
