Whitewater kayaking and rafting may get hazardous, so check restrictions in advance of a trip. There's a wonderful 12.4-mile-in-distance wilderness trail with a wonderful 2,662-foot elevation variation around here; this pretty wilderness trail is the Observation Peak Trail.
