If you are in Washington during camping season, you must go camping. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Northern Cascade Range. The good people of Deming like to hang out nearby, and the sights at Lake Chelan National Recreation Area will blow your mind. Nooksack Campground is a very well esteemed campground by the folks of Deming.
If you don't mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Nooksack River - North Fork, and there's a fine forest called Mount Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest.
Everybody loves Rockport State Park; you can distinguish Church Mountain from Nooksack Campground. Coming to this campground is always a good idea. Glacier Creek is a great whitewater spot in the neighborhood of Nooksack Campground; what would winter be without some skiing at Mt.Baker. Nooksack Campground frequently gets a good deal of rainfall; the month with most of the rain is November, and July is when it's the driest.
