| | Well, most of the information in this little blurb is wrong: The nearest Metro area is not Ellensburg, it is Leavenworth. Lake Elsley? I have never heard of it, and have been in the area for 30 years. There is no such place called Indian Ponds anywhere around the campground. Though a beautiful hike, Napeequa Crossing to Twin Lakes is not an easy stroll, it is approximately 3.2+ miles one way, with many switchbacks, and to the average city person, a hard slog. This Article makes it sound like White river falls are on the way to Twin Lakes, which they are not. |

They are reached by driving on up the valley 5 more miles or so to the correct turnout. Also, it should be mentioned that from the beginning of camping season till Mid August, you should slather yourself in Bug repellant to keep from being eaten alive by Mosquitoes. The campground

January is the month that gets the most snow, and July on the other hand is the driest. So much fun stuff to do here in the Northern Cascade Range, too magnificent to be true. Going to Wenatchee National Forest close to Napeequa Crossing Campground is a wonderful thing to
do, and do take a hike on the Pacific Crest Trail - section 26. Skiing at Stevens Pass is one of those things you just must do; the Miners Creek Trail offers hiking at its best. This campground is so great. Napeequa Crossing Campground is right by the Icicle Trail, and a great
site for whitewater paddling is Little Wenatchee River. So many cool things to do at Napeequa Crossing Campground, so little time. In case you don’t mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Lake Creek, and if you've had enough of Napeequa Crossing
Campground, Indian Ponds is nearby. At Napeequa Crossing Campground throughout the summer highs are in the 60's. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 40's. All through the winter this place gets highs in the 20's with temperatures at Napeequa Crossing Campground dipping down into the 10's throughout winter nights.
