Lewis River - North Fork has a pleasant whitewater paddling spot close by, and you unquestionably must have a look at Starvation Creek State Park while you're here. If time allows, Mount Rainier National Park is a national park worth visiting, and there is a splendid hiking trail close by called the Wildcat Trail.
