A pleasant 34-mile-long whitewater section on Naches River is nearby.       This, the Sawmill Flat to bl. Town of Naches portion, is a grade II-III. The Sawmill Flat to bl. Town of Naches portion of Naches River is recommended for paddlers of medium experience. Check the latest conditions ahead of going on   the whitewater, or else it's not safe and sound. Quartz Creek Trail in the vicinity is 6.6 miles long and has a pleasant 3,413-foot variation in height; it's a pretty hiking and backpacking trail. You must plan one and a half days to backcountry hike the hard Quartz Creek Trail. Kaner Flat Trail close by has a difference in height of 4,400 feet.
